Provider and scope

Ajedrez de Silicio E.I.R.L., Peru, provides Chess Openings by Ajedrez de Silicio, Android package com.ajedrezdesilicio.aperturas_silicio. This policy includes testing releases. Privacy and support contact: gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com. Other products have separate policies.

Local profiles and information

The app stores up to five local profiles, including the chosen name or nickname, initial Elo, training level, Silicio rating, results, mistakes, history, times, unfinished sessions and preferences. A nickname is sufficient; your real name is not required.

These profiles work only on this device. They are not online accounts, have no email address or password, and do not authenticate a remote identity. Anyone with access to the app on the device can switch profiles; they are not password-protected spaces.

The app has no advertising, advertising identifiers, analytics, cross-app tracking, sign-in, synchronization, automatic crash reporting or in-app payments. The distribution build does not request Internet, camera, microphone, contacts, location or broad file access. Puzzles, graphics, fonts and sounds are bundled.

Storage and protection

Your data is kept in the private storage assigned by Android. The app keeps an internal copy of the previous saved state to recover from write failures. That copy stays on the device and is not an external backup.

Android backup rules exclude app data from automatic cloud backup and automatic device transfer. This version does not export or import external backups. We do not claim that the app encrypts stored information or that we can recover it remotely. Protect access to your device.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you delete a profile or app data. In Users, choose the profile deletion icon and confirm. Its name, rating, results, mistakes, times and sessions, including its recoverable internal copy, are deleted. Other profiles remain.

To remove every profile and preference, use Android Settings → Apps → Chess Openings by Ajedrez de Silicio → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall. Labels vary by device. Loss of the phone, uninstallation or clearing data can make progress unrecoverable. A store purchase does not back up progress.

Google Play and support inquiries

Google Play handles downloads, purchases where applicable and store operations under its policies. The app does not receive card information. Purchase records made available to the seller are used for purchase support and applicable legal obligations.

If you voluntarily email gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com, we receive your address, message and chosen attachments to handle your inquiry. Email providers and relevant Google Play services process what is necessary for those purposes. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising.

We retain support correspondence for handling the inquiry and afterwards only for a legal obligation or a justified need to manage a claim. Purchase records follow applicable retention duties. Do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary information.

The host of the public policy page may process technical visit data, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect the page. Reading the bundled policy does not make that web visit. External links on the website are subject to the destination services’ policies.

Intended audience

This version is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults, and is not promoted to children under 13. The app does not ask for a birth date or use Elo to verify age. Google Play content ratings are determined separately and may differ by region.

If you are a minor, involve your parent or guardian in purchases and support inquiries when required. You do not need to send personal information to train. If we receive information from a minor that we should not retain, we will delete it when we become aware of it, unless legally required otherwise. A representative may contact us to request its review or deletion.

Requests and updates

Contact gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com to access, correct or request deletion of information you sent us, or exercise other applicable rights. We request only what is necessary to handle the request and explain any necessary legal retention. We have no remote access to local profiles.

We will update this policy and the store declarations if features or data processing change. Where required, we will inform you and obtain the necessary authorizations before introducing new data processing.
