Help — Silicio Chess Scoresheet

Silicio Chess Scoresheet, by Ajedrez de Silicio E.I.R.L., is a free app with no ads for chess players who want to record their training games alongside a physical board and, at the same time, keep a digital record to save or share in PGN format. It is intended for ages 13 and up. You do not need an account, purchase or subscription to use its features.

For training only. Do not use this app during tournament games. FIDE rules prohibit electronic devices that have not been approved by the arbiter in the playing venue. This app is not an approved electronic scoresheet for competition.

Offline user guide

No account or credentials are required. There are no purchases, ads, subscriptions or locked features. Target audience: ages 13 and up. Support: gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com.

  1. Open the app, including while offline. In the library menu, Comfort → App language lets you select Español, English or the device language.
  2. Tap Start recording or New game. New games initially use piece letters matching the interface language. You can change that game’s notation language in Details.
  3. With English notation, enter NC3. Before tapping Add, no hint should appear. Tap Add: feedback explains Nc3 and the difference between the piece letter and file. Tap Correct, enter Nc3, then save the change.
  4. To test an incomplete capture in another game, enter c3, d5, a3, d4, cd; after Add, the app explains capture notation such as cxd4. In a new game, e5 is illegal as White’s first move.
  5. Leave and reopen the app: games and drafts remain. Change the interface language in Comfort: saved moves do not change.
  6. Add players and a result in Details. Review provides notation checking, PDF, PGN and Open on board. Missing names trigger a shortcut to complete Details.
  7. Save the blank PDF from the library; this works offline. A game PDF retains the template layout and adds values. Notes and comments generate an appendix only when they contain content.
  8. Import ejemplos/mainline-with-variations.pgn: six half-moves of the main line are retained and variations are omitted. JSON backup preserves the library.
  9. Open on board optionally passes the PGN to Ajedrez de Silicio. A compatible version is required. If it is missing, the app offers its Play listing or PGN export; the scoresheet remains saved. Visiting the store requires a connection and is not needed to test other features.
  10. Help and privacy contains the policy, terms, support contact and licenses. The documents are available offline.
  11. To delete a game, tap Delete on its card in My games or Archived, or open Game options → Delete game. The confirmation shows the players, event and date. Undo restores the complete scoresheet for 10 seconds; with accessible navigation enabled, the notice stays. Exported files are kept. If saving fails, the app keeps the game and lets you try again.

The app is for notation practice. It does not suggest moves while typing and is not presented as a certified device for tournaments.
