Training on your device
The app needs no account, contains no ads and includes no analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers or online AI services. It does not request Internet permission. Stockfish games, opening rehearsal and position exercises run on your device. We do not receive your progress, games or training habits.
Information saved locally
The app keeps language, sound, coordinates, orientation and training preferences; favorite openings; completed rehearsals, errors, hints, dates and results; and saved or ongoing games with moves, engine level and side. This information lets you continue and review your progress. Android stores it in the app’s private space. The app does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone or all your files.
Backups and files you choose
You can export a JSON backup, restore it or save a PGN game through the Android file picker. The app uses only the file or destination you select. If you choose Google Drive or another provider, that service may use the Internet and handle the file under its policies. We do not start automatic synchronization. Backups and PGN files are not encrypted by the app; keep them in a trusted location. You can also export the engine source code, which does not contain your progress.
Retention and deletion
Progress remains on your device until you replace it by restoring a backup or clear the app’s data. To remove all private information, open Android Settings → Apps → Chess: Memory & Vision → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Menu names may vary. Exported files outside the app must be deleted separately in their folder or provider. There is no app account to request deletion of, and we have no copy of your progress to recover. Automatic Android backup and data transfer are disabled in the app configuration; save your own backup before moving to another device.
Google Play and external links
Google Play handles distribution, purchases and updates under its own policies. The app receives no card details or Google credentials. Support, complaints and refund links open in another app only when you request it. Your browser, email app and these services have their own privacy practices. Visiting the public version of this document may generate technical website logs, such as an IP address, for delivery and security; reading the bundled copy does not make that visit.
If you contact us
When you email us or use the Complaints Book (Libro de Reclamaciones), we receive the information you choose to send to handle your request, such as your email address, message and attachments. Do not send passwords, card information or complete backups unless necessary. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request, comply with legal duties or manage claims. Email and support providers may process it to provide those services. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising without an applicable basis or authorization. The complaints form also has its own privacy notice.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or objection and other applicable rights by writing to gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com and describing your request. Requests are handled under Peru’s Law No. 29733, its regulations and applicable law. You do not need to send us device data to erase local progress; you can do that directly in Android.
Children and families
Exercises can be used by children who already know the rules of chess, teenagers and adults. We do not ask children for personal information or provide chat, public profiles or interaction with strangers. Purchases, support contacts and sending files by minors should involve a parent or guardian when required.
Policy updates
If data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. The copy in Settings → Legal documents is available offline. The public version is available on our official website.
