Who provides the app

AJEDREZ DE SILICIO E.I.R.L. · RUC 20609915529. Calle Manco II 140, Edificio Valente 1, Departamento 103, San Miguel, Lima, Perú. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact gpacheco@ajedrezdesilicio.com.

Your library stays on your device

The app is a one-time purchase and does not require an account. It contains no advertising, analytics or advertising identifiers. It does not send your books, positions, games, notes or study habits to our servers. The Android app has no Internet permission: reading, the board, reviews and Stockfish run locally.

Opening a PDF automatically saves a copy in the app's private library. The app also stores reading progress, bookmarks, studies, comments, variations, review cards and settings. Temporary import and export files are used to process your actions. Capacity depends on your device's storage; the app imposes no book quota.

Files, external providers and payments

Android lets you explicitly choose which PDF, PGN or backup to open and where to save an export. If you select Google Drive or another provider, that service may use the Internet and process data under its own terms. The app does not start automatic synchronization. Once imported, a PDF can be read offline.

A file is shared only when you use an export or sharing function and select a destination. Review its contents before sending it. Google Play handles the purchase, payment and store refund requests under its policies. This app does not receive or store your card details.

Protection and backups

Data is stored in the private space Android assigns to the app. We do not request general access to all your files. System automatic backup is disabled for this data; use “Save complete backup” to keep your library outside the app.

Backups and exported files are not encrypted by the app. Keep them in a trusted location and avoid sharing them if they contain personal information or material you cannot distribute. The protection of your device, chosen provider and their copies also depends on your settings.

Retention and deletion

Your library remains until you delete its contents or the app's data. You can delete books and studies through their options. After restoring a backup, a previous generation may remain recoverable; use the option to delete that copy if you no longer need it. Clearing app data in Android or uninstalling removes its private data, including those recovery copies.

Original PDFs, backups and exports saved outside the app are not deleted when you delete a book or uninstall. You can remove them using your file manager or the relevant provider. We do not have a copy of your library and cannot recover it for you.

When you contact us

Email and the complaints book are external channels you open voluntarily. If you write to us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message and attachments, to respond to your inquiry or complaint. Do not send your entire library, payment details or passwords. We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to handle the request, comply with legal obligations or manage claims. You can request access, rectification, cancellation, objection and other applicable rights at the email address above; requests are handled under applicable law.

We do not sell information from your inquiries or use it for advertising without the required basis or authorization. Email and support service providers may process correspondence to provide those services. Information submitted to the Libro de Reclamaciones (Peruvian complaints book) is also subject to that form's notice.

Minors and policy changes

We do not ask minors for personal information inside the app. Where required, purchases and support contacts should involve a parent or guardian. If the app's operation or data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. You can read the included copy offline or consult the public version.
